Two Go RTW joins the Global Bloggers Network!

We just joined the 'Global Bloggers Network'!

Travel blogging’s greatest advantage—perhaps more than any other—lies in the building of a community wherein people interested in travel are able to interact, share information and build relationships. As travel bloggers, we act variously as brand messengers, salespeople, friends and colleagues. These interactions and the interplay of content helps to attract a wide and diverse readership. And as such, we as a travel community are greater than the sum of our parts.

The Global Bloggers Network (GBN) is a joint-project by Keith of the Velvet Escape and Janice of Solo Traveler. Since last spring, they have been brainstorming ideas and sharing information to accelerate the success of their respective blogs. But this is a fast-changing area and there’s always more to learn. So they decided to create GBN.

Hence, the GBN network helps to focus and consolidate the organic marketing of one’s blog, which is generally a process that requires a significant commitment of time. This kind of marketing, however, pays dividends in the long run. Indeed, the competitive intelligence you receive through networking helps you promote your online presence and improve your blog.

According to Keith and Janice, GBN is designed specifically for independent and corporate bloggers. It’s not a passive course for independent study. Rather, it’s an interactive program that delivers resources and opportunities to pose questions, brainstorm ideas and focus on the business of your blog.

GBN offers three membership levels, each providing access to varying levels of support. As ‘global’ members, Kathryn and I enjoy access to a number of benefits:

  • Blogger-to-blogger mentoring
  • The ‘Blog Hop’—travel online to travel offline for growing traffic.
  • Webinars by top speakers.
  • Promotion on GBN’s blog—to drive traffic.
  • And the GBN Newsletter with articles, tips and advice.

Along with Keith and Janice, we urge you to check it out! More people, there will be more ideas and we’ll be able to get experts to share their knowledge with us. Click here for more information.

About the Author: Everywhere he goes, Daniel is quietly reminded of the adage attributed to St Augustine: "The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page". And so it was with St Augustine’s maxim echoing in his mind that he decided along with his wife, Kathryn, that they would embark on a round-the-world trip in July 2011.

I love how many communities are starting to help peoples blogs and websites. I just joined Brazen Careerist, so far it seems pretty neat too. Lots of great tips by plenty of smart cookies. I’ll have to check this one out too!
